Inspiration Thurs Week 2

Confession: I missed wednesday at the gym because I had a doctor's appointment which took like 3 hours just to draw a blood test~!!! :( Anyway, I had my labs done in May and I am healthy somehow, even my blood pressure tends to stay at the low 100s, and also I had an insane fear of becoming diabetic, but the doc said that my sugar actually gets low, so I need to snack on things.

Now that I'm into this 2 weeks, I don't feel as hungry anymore, my mood is WAYY better, I don't feel like I need to hide from the world all the time. I know I look the same, but I don't FEEL the same. I got an app for my itouch, the "Lose it!" (free) and I log in all of my meals and exercises and it has helped a lot.

week 2


Ok, I'm back... I dont know if this is right but according to the scale I lost 1.5 lbs, current weight: 238.5
BUT we used a different scale from last week, so I'm hoping on getting a nice digital scale by next monday...

Thanks to Milly, our inspiration wife from last Thurs. , for giving me some tips today.

Do 30 mins of straight cardio, then 30 more of weights!

I can't wait for my "fitness pants" to actually fit me. Tomorrow is our fat analysis thing, need to get a sports bra I will never ever wear again lol.


I am really excited to report that after a week of hard working out and plenty of hiking with my family this weekend, including a trek to the top of a lighthouse, I am 1 lb heavier. I weigh 206. This normally would bother me but I know how my body works. I am in the process of building muscle so that the fat will burn right off. Muscle weighs more than fat. I have been working out 5- 6 days a week 1-1.5 hours. Friday was my light day and I only worked out an easy 30 minutes. My body is incredibly sore right now but to the gym I go. I will work different muscle groups when one area is too sore to work. The good news about all of this, my clothes are fitting looser. That's always a good feeling.

It was really great meeting Milly and think her input will be much needed. Her encouragement is very much welcomed. Time for me to get ready for the gym!! We have or BMI testing today. Then a nice workout. Wish us luck!

Mid-week Check In

Wanted to let you know that Rebecca and I have been going to the gym now for 4 straight days! We are doing well, but the eating part I haven't gotten down just yet... I eat less but not necesarily healthier...

ALSO,we really needed "Inspiration Thursdays" and it just so happens that we met a fellow wife at the gym today, who lost 50lbs!!!! how great is that!?

we will post her before and after when we get those photos sent....


in other news, Rebecca and I measured one another with the tape measurer... and next Tues. we are going to get our fat pinched and sized up and I REALLY am not looking forward to seeing how much percentage my body is made up of FAT. I'm sure it's like the whole thing... is there such thing as 95% body fat? awesome.

week 1




Welcome to the Fat Navy Wives Club, started by two beautiful navy wives, Michelle and Rebecca...who just happen to be fat at the moment and are embarking on a hard journey together in becoming skinny sexy goddesses.

Our identities will remain hidden because truly, I'm just way too ashamed of how fat I have become. My normal weight had always been 150-160. My name is Michelle "Rodriguez" and I am 26 years old , 5'6, and weigh 240!!!! That is my photo up there, see how pissed off at the world I am?

My goal is to get back down to 150 by this time next year. I have no idea if this is too soon or if it's plenty of time but as long as I meet it, I will be happy for LIFE.




Hi!!! My name is Rebecca "Anderson". I am 27 year s old. I am 5'7'' and weigh 205 lbs. My goal weight is 160.

Like most military wives, our husbands are required to PT three or more times per week. A lot rides on them maintaining their weight- such as Promotions, re-enlistments, orders, etc. But what motivation is there for us? Seeing as my husband loves me unconditionally, he has been of no help in helping me loose my pregnancy weight. Ben and Jerry's should have invented an ice cream called Chubby-Wifey instead of Chubby-Hubby. Our husbands eat whatever they want and run it off Monday, Wednesday and Friday! It's time we made a stand for our own freedom: a war on obesity.

This blog is for anyone who is wanting to stand up and fight along side us. Michelle and I will share tips and advice and talk about our journey along the way. This will be a bumpy ride. Are you up for the challenge?
